My Name is Dr. Nadine Hebdon.
I grew up in a small rural town in Western New York and Graduated from D’youville College of Chiropractic. Promptly after graduation, I knew I had to follow my sense of adventure and come to Tennessee to start my own clinic.
I have always had a natural curiosity for things. I believe I received my curiosity from my mother who is a lifelong learner, a nurse, & diabetic educator. I am glad to have this trait, and I feel it suits my profession and my patients well.
I originally thought medical school was right for me, so I sought out education with human anatomy. I planned on a pre-med degree; however, the age of the opiate epidemic had hit, and this was something in my peripheral vision that scared me.
I sought out natural methods instead and decided to go to massage therapy school with intentions to get a degree in naturopathic medicine.
Then, I discovered chiropractic when my father had a devastating back injury, followed by years of conventional medical care and physical therapy. This culminated into back surgery. I never understood the effect that this injury could have, and that pain could be experienced not just by the individual but shared by the entire family. During his searching and treatment, my father found a neurologist that advocated for specialized chiropractic care & had numerous chiropractors on his team.
While in Chiropractic school, I was able to work at the very clinic that my dad was treated at. The technique that was used on my father by his chiropractors is now performed at my clinic. I personally have witnessed its efficacy and believe in its results.
During my fathers journey, I realized that every patient has a doctor that can make a world of difference in their life.
This also made me realize that there needs to be more doctors that can educate patients and help to teach them how their bodies can find ways to get through their pain cycles. I believe it is important for providers to inform patients that there is a time and a need for conventional medical care, and a time and a need for chiropractic & conservative care.
In school I did not know what I was getting into, and I began to realize that chiropractic is not just a profession but a gift. I cannot believe the friends and extended family that I now have because of chiropractic. Today I enjoy the life that chiropractic has given me and my family.
When my husband Steve and I are both away from the office, we enjoy exploring the natural beauty of the state on our motorcycle. When the busyness of life is too much, we also enjoy staying home, spending time on our porch reading, playing guitar, and snuggling with our fur babies.
